Company profile Inspire Pictures bv 2008

 Inspire Pictures is a young theatrical label active in the Benelux since December 2004. Its focus is on distributing both high end quality films as mainstream product by acquisition of rights or co-producing with local producers. Filmtitles as Far from Heaven, House of Sand and Fog and Standing in the Shadows of Motown were released in the Benelux market. Present portfolio consists of the co productions Tempesta,  Kruistocht in Spijkerbroek (Crusade in Jeans) and the Dutch productions Oorlogswinter and Amsterdam. Recent acquisitions were the  Danish film Dalecarlians and Peter Greenaway’s Nightwatching about Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn. In the mainstream segment Inspire Pictures acquired the 2 Dino Delaurentiis titles Last Legion and Thomas Harris’ Hannibal Rising. In 2006 the  joint venture Benelux Film Distributors was formed with Lumiere in Belgium and DFW in the Netherlands. By this move a stronger theatrical market position  was reached in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Inspire Pictures bv is part of the group of companies together with Video Film Express bv (dvd distribution), Toys and Games Express bv (Toys and Merchandising) and Black Hill Pictures GmbH (international music dvd distribution) under the umbrella of CAF Holding. CAF Holding is owned by Sim van Veen who after a period of several years with Vestron Benelux and Excalibur started almost 20 years ago as an independent in entertainment distribution.
